‘I have looked upon those brilliant creatures, / And now my heart is sore.’

BirdSong is a wide-ranging programme of partsongs, solo songs and poetry on the theme of birds. It is designed to be malleable and collaborative, and we look forward to future collaborations with children’s choirs, amateur choirs, instrumentalists, artists and poets. The programme first took flight in St. Mary’s Church, Bruton in March 2024, presented by five singers and pianist Jonathan Delbridge, in collaboration with the Bruton Art Society. During this inaugural performance, artists were invited to exhibit their work (on the same theme) and to sketch during the performance.
